These days, it seems that just about anyone can claim to be a ‘mechanic’. But today’s ultra-complex automobiles require extensive training, experience and talent to be diagnosed and repaired correctly. The hardest part is finding that perfect balance of high-quality service and low price. You simply will not find that at most repair shops and dealerships.
That’s right – we said most shops.
1-TRAINED vs. UNTRAINED TECHNICIANS
In an ideal world, every auto shop would employ a team of properly trained and certified mechanics. This would ensure that every vehicle is properly repaired the first time, every time. Unfortunately, this is not the case at most facilities.
Highly-trained and experienced technicians are hard to find, and harder to keep. This is because most shops do not want to pay a qualified tech what they are worth. They would rather employ cheap, untrained labor to maximize profits. What they fail to realize is these untrained mechanics make many mistakes. Some are small and some are large and costly. These mechanics should not be working on vehicles at all because they are unqualified.
Accuracy Automotive employs only properly trained, experienced and talented technicians. We also require that every mechanic become an ASE Certified Master Technician. We believe that every Technician should be able to achieve this status. If they can’t, they won’t be working for us. They will instead be working for the other guys.
2- OEM PARTS vs. AFTERMARKET
Simply put: The quality of your car is dependent upon the quality of its parts. When your vehicle was originally built, the parts were all designed and manufactured with great care and attention to detail. Every piece required extensive engineering and testing to ensure quality. These parts are called Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts.
Other manufacturers also make parts for your vehicle, often at a lower cost to you. These are not OEM parts.
They are sold through auto parts stores, the internet and other sources. This does not mean they are necessarilyinferior parts. It means that their quality is not always the same. A qualified technician will know a quality part when they see one.
We at Accuracy only carry OEM parts. Why? Because we are never willing to compromise quality for cost. But that doesn’t mean you will pay more here. One of our advantages is that we offer OEM parts for aftermarket prices. Now you will never have to take a chance to save money-save the money and maintain the quality at Accuracy Automotive.
3- INDEPENDENT FACILITY vs. NATIONAL CHAIN
Large-chain automotive service centers specialize in one thing: maximizing profits. Everything they do is built around getting the most money out of every customer on every service. There really is no reason to go to one of these shops in our opinion.
Your biggest priority when you have car trouble is to get it fixed as quickly and inexpensively as possible. That is definitely not what you will find at these stores, and at most repair shops and dealerships in general. They only care about profits.
At Accuracy Automotive, we care about one thing also: building long-term relationships with our customers. We know that this is the only way a real business establishes itself and benefits the community we live in.
Our assessment of the auto service industry may seem a bit harsh, but it is completely accurate. We know that there are honest shops out there. They are just difficult to find. We are one of them. You can trust us with your vehicle for all its needs. These are the promises that we make to you:
